Empire Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehab

Q. How long will it take to get better?

A. Every injury is different. Some people heal quickly, some more slowly. Most patients can expect a rehab length from 4 - 6 wks

Q. How long is each session?

A. Typically the evaluation takes approx. 1 hour. Following treatments take btwn 45min to 1 hour. All our patients are seen promptly with minimal to no waiting time.

Q. Is there somewhere to leave my rehab clothes?

A. Yes. We provide lockers so that our patients do not have to transport their clothing every session.

Q. Will I see the same therapist every time?

A. Yes. We make sure that there is continuity in service by matching every patient with one therapist at all times

Q. Do I need a prescription?

A. Prescriptions are no longer required in New York State to be treated by a Physical Therapist. After 30 days/ 10 visit Medicare requires that you see your physician. If you have further questions regarding this matter please contact your individual insurance provider.

“I went to see Rich at Empire PT because I had a pain in my shoulder which was preventing me from working out.The pain was intense and it kept me from working out my upper body at the gym. I wasn't sure if I was ever going to feel better or beable to work out my shoulder again. So I decided to go see a doctor. After the doctor gave me a shot of cortisone, he also decided that I needed some PT. I was skeptical. So he wrote me a prescription for some physical therapy. After about 8 weeks of physical therapy, I started feeling better. I had no pain in my shoulder and I was getting my range of motion and strength back.

I can’t tell you how grateful I am to Rich and all the folks at Empire PT for not only helping me get back to the gym, but also making the physical therapy experience an enjoyable one.” — Jamie P.
